Control Resonant on Mac: Steam vs App Store
The Mac edition of Control Resonant follows the September launch later in 2026 through Steam and the App Store. Here is what each confirmed route means.

The Mac version of CONTROL Resonant is planned for both Steam and Apple’s App Store later in 2026. It does not launch with Windows, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S on September 24.
Two confirmed Mac storefronts
Remedy’s official game page names Steam and the App Store for Mac. That gives Mac players a choice of storefront, but it does not yet establish universal purchase entitlement between them. Buying a Windows Steam copy may expose a Mac build under the same Steam license if the final package is cross-platform; the official wording does not by itself guarantee how licensing will be configured.
An App Store copy is distributed through Apple’s ecosystem and should be treated as a separate purchase route unless its listing states otherwise. Save compatibility, achievements, controller support, iCloud behavior and cross-save with Windows or consoles have not been detailed in the official platform announcement.
Timing and hardware
“Later in 2026” is a release window, not an exact Mac date. The Windows minimum and recommended specifications cannot be translated directly into an Apple-silicon model list. Players should wait for Remedy or the storefronts to publish supported chips, operating-system versions and storage requirements.
