Control Resonant Digital Deluxe Items Explained

The Digital Deluxe Edition includes the AWE Mission Outfit, Untapped Artifact (Wallet), Starter Resource Bundle, artbook and soundtrack, plus the full game.

Last reviewed July 19, 2026

Quick answer

The official PS5 product listing names six components: the full Control Resonant game, AWE Mission Outfit, Untapped Artifact (Wallet), Starter Resource Bundle, Digital Artbook, and Original Soundtrack. The PlayStation package also advertises 48-hour advance access beginning September 22, 2026.

The AWE Mission Outfit is a cosmetic item. “AWE” is the Control universe abbreviation for Altered World Event; the listing does not claim that the outfit adds a mission. The Untapped Artifact (Wallet) belongs to the game’s crafting input class: ordinary Untapped Artifacts are found in the world and crafted into usable passive Artifacts in the Gap. Remedy has not disclosed the resulting Wallet modifier.

The Starter Resource Bundle is described only by name. Its exact resource types, quantities and point of delivery remain unpublished. It should not be marketed as a level skip or exclusive upgrade unless an official description later says so.

Digital extras versus gameplay items

The artbook and soundtrack are digital media extras, while the outfit, Untapped Artifact and resources connect to the game. None of the official descriptions says that the Deluxe gameplay items are required for story completion, New Game Plus or full access to the core build system.

Pre-order rewards are a separate group: Hiss Corruption Outfit, Occult Outfit and Pickpocket’s Tool Artifact. A player pre-ordering the Deluxe product page may receive both groups where that store explicitly lists them, but offers can vary by platform and territory.

Before buying

Confirm the price, release time and refund rules on your own regional store. The US PS5 listing showed $69.99 when last reviewed, while the standard edition showed $59.99; those prices are time- and region-sensitive. See all editions and pre-order details and the Artifact system for the mechanics behind the items.

Guides & Gameplay FAQ

Do I need to play the first Control?

No. Remedy presents Control Resonant as a standalone story and a new entry point centered on Dylan Faden. Playing Control provides more context for Jesse, Dylan, the FBC, and the Oldest House, but it is not required.

What genre is Control Resonant?

Control Resonant is a single-player action RPG with melee-led combat, paranatural abilities, buildcrafting, and exploration. It is not simply a repeat of the first game’s third-person shooter structure.

What are Instinct powers?

Instinct is the name used for Dylan’s paranatural ability system. These powers combine with movement and Aberrant attacks to shape how a build controls space, survives pressure, or damages enemies.
