Seekers Summon Build: Turret, Throw & Detonation

Build around Seekers using its autonomous fire and throwable explosive role. This pre-launch guide uses confirmed mechanics and avoids unsupported stats.

Last reviewed July 25, 2026

Quick answer

Seekers supports a tactical summon build: deploy the auto-firing entity for independent pressure, then throw or detonate it as an explosive when repositioning or finishing a group. It was one of three permanent first-boss choices in the media demo.

Why the summon changes combat

An autonomous attacker divides attention. While Seekers fires, Dylan can close distance, restore ability resource through melee, manage another enemy or prepare an execution. The ability is not passive-only because its throwable explosive function gives the player an active conversion point.

That dual role distinguishes Seekers from Barrage’s direct projectile and Shield’s defense/ram behavior. It also suggests a different rhythm: deploy for area pressure, act elsewhere, then convert the summon when the battlefield changes.

Confirmed build framework

Pair the summon with an Aberrant form that can quickly exploit distracted or grouped enemies. Use movement to keep Dylan out of crossfire while the summon operates. A Talent branch may eventually strengthen status, summon or execution interactions, but no official source has published a complete Seeker tree or final damage values.

The Seekers ability page records its known behavior. Compare it with the separate Mold Turret status build, because official descriptions use related turret language but do not establish that the two names are interchangeable in every context. The first-playthrough lock guide explains why choosing Seekers can exclude Barrage and Shield from that boss during the initial run.

Guides & Gameplay FAQ

Do I need to play the first Control?

No. Remedy presents Control Resonant as a standalone story and a new entry point centered on Dylan Faden. Playing Control provides more context for Jesse, Dylan, the FBC, and the Oldest House, but it is not required.

What genre is Control Resonant?

Control Resonant is a single-player action RPG with melee-led combat, paranatural abilities, buildcrafting, and exploration. It is not simply a repeat of the first game’s third-person shooter structure.

What are Instinct powers?

Instinct is the name used for Dylan’s paranatural ability system. These powers combine with movement and Aberrant attacks to shape how a build controls space, survives pressure, or damages enemies.
