Seekers Summon in Control Resonant: Confirmed Ability Details

Seekers are volatile telekinetic summoned entities that attack enemies and can be thrown and detonated in Control Resonant.

Last reviewed July 18, 2026

Quick answer

Seekers are a confirmed summon ability shown in Control Resonant’s official loadout interface. The description identifies them as volatile telekinetic entities that attack enemies independently and can be thrown and detonated.

What Seekers do

The ability combines autonomous pressure with direct interaction. After summoning a Seeker, Dylan can allow it to attack or use telekinesis to reposition and detonate it. That creates a different decision from a passive summon that remains fixed in one place.

Damage types shown

Official interface imagery displayed projectile and explosion damage, Falter values, a resource cost and a separate Launch resource cost. Those numbers came from a pre-release build and are deliberately not reproduced here as final stats. The useful confirmed distinction is that the summon has both projectile and explosive behavior.

How it fits a build

Seekers use a Combat Ability slot rather than an Aberrant Weapon Form slot. Melee attacks restore the ability resource, so a summon-focused setup still needs a way to return to close-range pressure. Talents and Artifacts can potentially reinforce ability/melee synergy, but the final compatible nodes remain unknown.

Seekers versus Mold Turrets

Both demonstrate tactical summon play, but their confirmed behavior differs. Mold Turrets apply harmful status effects from an independent position; Seekers can be thrown and detonated. A proper comparison requires final duration, cost and damage testing.

Read Combat Abilities for the shared system and Mold Turrets for the other official summon example.

Guides & Gameplay FAQ

Do I need to play the first Control?

No. Remedy presents Control Resonant as a standalone story and a new entry point centered on Dylan Faden. Playing Control provides more context for Jesse, Dylan, the FBC, and the Oldest House, but it is not required.

What genre is Control Resonant?

Control Resonant is a single-player action RPG with melee-led combat, paranatural abilities, buildcrafting, and exploration. It is not simply a repeat of the first game’s third-person shooter structure.

What are Instinct powers?

Instinct is the name used for Dylan’s paranatural ability system. These powers combine with movement and Aberrant attacks to shape how a build controls space, survives pressure, or damages enemies.
