Reach is a confirmed supernatural traversal ability Dylan uses to navigate spaces reshaped by paranatural forces in Control Resonant.

Quick answer
Reach is one of Dylan’s named supernatural traversal abilities. Remedy says it helps him navigate spaces that no longer obey normal physics, but the full input, range, unlock point and upgrade path have not yet been documented.
What Remedy has confirmed
The West Incursion Zone contains architecture and pathways distorted by a paranatural crisis. In its official gameplay explanation, Remedy names Reach as an ability Dylan uses while navigating those spaces. It is presented as part of traversal rather than one of the boss-earned Combat Abilities.
That distinction affects New Game Plus. Remedy confirms that traversal powers do not carry over because their availability remains tied to story progression and the way the world unfolds. Combat powers, by contrast, are among the systems that persist.
Relationship to Gravity Anomalies
Gravity Anomalies change orientation and momentum: a road can appear upside down, or a tilted roof can become a walkable bridge. Reach helps Dylan get to otherwise difficult surfaces, while the separately named Shift ability lets him adapt movement inside altered gravity.
Official text does not define Reach as a grapple, teleport or simple long jump. Those labels should not be imposed until the final controls or a clearer demonstration establishes the mechanic.
What this means for exploration
Control Resonant uses large, handcrafted zones rather than a seamless checklist open world. Story-gated traversal suggests earlier areas may expose new paths as Dylan gains movement tools, but Remedy has not published a complete Metroidvania lock map.
For confirmed movement visible in the media build, see dash, double jump and levitation. The Shift guide covers the named Gravity Anomaly response, and Gravity Anomalies explains why identifying the new “ground” is part of the puzzle.
Detail on Control Resonant can change before release. Verify anything time-sensitive against Remedy's official channels. See our sources & method.
